ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಿಂದಲೂ ರೇಡಿಯೋ ಡಯಾಗ್ನಸಿಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗವು, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಎಕ್ಸ್- ರೇ ಯಂತ್ರಗಳು, ಮ್ಯಾಮೋಗ್ರಫಿ, ಅಲ್ಟ್ರಾಸೊನೋಗ್ರಫಿ , ಬಣ್ಣದ ಡೋಪ್ಲರ್, ಇಡೀ ದೇಹದ ಸೀ.ಟಿ. ಸ್ಕ್ಯಾನರ್‌ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಎಂ.ಆರ್.ಐ. ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿತ್ರಣ (ಇಮೇಜಿಂಗ್) ಸಾಧನಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಭಾಗವು ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಡೀ ವರ್ಷದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಮೂಲೆಮೂಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ನೆರೆಯ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ರೋಗಿಗಳು ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ತಪಾಸಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಮಾರಕ ರೋಗ ಇಲ್ಲದುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಸಹ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ರೋಗಿಗಳು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಿಂದ ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಸಹಿತ ಬಂದ ರೋಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವಿಭಾಗದ ಕಾರ್ಯಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಉತ್ತಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಹತೆ ಮತ್ತು ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು
ವಿಭಾಗವು ಡಿ.ಎನ್.ಬಿ. ರೇಡಿಯೋ ಡಯಾಗ್ನಸಿಸ್ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ಪಡೆದ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರೈಮರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಡಿಎಂಆರ್‌ಡಿ ನಂತರದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತಲಾ ಮೂರು ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶವಿದೆ. ವಿಭಾಗವು ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತ ವಿಚಾರಸಂಕಿರಣ ಕೊಠಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
ಅಲ್ಟ್ರಾಸೌಂಡ್, ಸೀ.ಟಿ. ಮತ್ತು ಎಂ.ಆರ್.ಐ. ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ರೇಡಿಯೋಗ್ರಾಫ್‌ಗಳ ಸಹಿತ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳ ಬೋಧನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವಿಭಾಗದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್ಸಿ. ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಇಮೇಜಿಂಗ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿ ( ರೇಡಿಯೊ ಡಯಾಗ್ನಸಿಸ್ ) ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಅನೇಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಂಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ನ್ನು ಕಲಿತು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಇದು 3 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲಾವಧಿಯದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.
ಎಂ.ಎಸ್ಸಿ. ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಇಮೇಜಿಂಗ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿ ( ರೇಡಿಯೋ ಡಯಾಗ್ನಸಿಸ್ ) ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸಹ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಹಲವಾರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಈ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ನ್ನು ಕಲಿತುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಇದು 2 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲಾವಧಿಯದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ, ವಿವಿಧ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ, ಡೆಂಟಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದವರು ರೇಡಿಯೋ ಡಯಾಗ್ನೋಸಿಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗವೂ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎಂ.ಸಿಎಚ್‌. (ಸರ್ಜಿಕಲ್ ಆಂಕಾಲಜಿ), ಎಂ.ಡಿ. (ರೇಡಿಯೋಥೆರಪಿ) ಡಿ.ಎಂ. ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಆಂಕಾಲಜಿ ಇವುಗಳ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬಿ.ಎಸ್ಸಿ. ಪದವಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೂ ಸಹ ಈ ವಿಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ನಿಯೋಜನೆ ಪಡೆದು ಬಂದು ಕಲಿತು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಟ್ರಾಸೋನೋಗ್ರಫಿ, ಸೀ.ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಂ.ಆರ್.ಐ.ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರೇಡಿಯಾಲಜಿಸ್ಟ್‌ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞರು ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಭಾರದ ವಿವರ
ರೇಡಿಯೋ ಡಯಾಗ್ನಸಿಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ - ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯ 60 ಅಲ್ಟ್ರಾಸೌಂಡ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು, 10 ರಿಂದ 15 ಸೊನೋ ಮ್ಯಾಮೊಗ್ರಾಫಿ ಸಹಿತ ಮ್ಯಾಮೊಗ್ರಾಮ್‌ಗಳು, 5-10 ಅಲ್ಟ್ರಾಸೌಂಡ್ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮೃದು ಅಂಗಾಂಶದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು, ಸುಮಾರು 200 ರೇಡಿಯೋಗ್ರಾಫ್‌ಗಳು, ಕೆಲವು ವಿಶೇಷ ತಪಾಸಣೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು 10 - 15 ಸಿ.ಟಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ, ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ 45 - 50 ಸಿಟಿ ಸ್ಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ರೇಡಿಯೋಥೆರಪಿ ನೀಡಲು ಯೋಜನೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಮಾರು 10-15 ಸಿಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಂಆರ್‌ಐ ಅವಲೋಕನಗಳು, ನಿತ್ಯ 10 ರವರೆಗೆ ಹೊರಗಿನ ಸ್ಕ್ಯಾನ್‌ಗಳು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಭಾಗದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ 15 ಅಲ್ಟ್ರಾಸೌಂಡ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿತ ಎಫ್ಎನ್ಎಸಿ ಮತ್ತು 4-6 ಸೀ.ಟಿ. ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿತ ಎಫ್ಎನ್ಎಸಿ/ ಬಯಾಪ್ಸಿ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ದಿನಬಿಟ್ಟು ದಿನ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಬಯಾಪ್ಸಿಗಳು, ಪಿಟಿಬಿಡಿ, ಪಿಸಿಎನ್, ಆರ್‌ಎಫ್ಎ, ಮೈಕ್ರೋವೇವ್ ಟ್ಯುಮರ್ ಅಬ್ಲೇಷನ್ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು TACE, TARE, ಆಪರೇಷನ್‌ಗೂ ಮುಂಚಿನ ಎಂಬೋಲೈಸೇಶನ್ , ಸ್ಟೆಂಟಿಂಗ್ ಮುಂತಾದ ನಾಳೀಯ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಿಕೆಗಳು (ವ್ಯಾಸ್ಕುಲರ್ ಇಂಟರ್‌ವೆನ್‌ಷನ್ನುಗಳು) ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿವೆ.
